Neotrivium?
The Trivium is a classical teaching style derived from Ancient Greece and was designed to be the foundation of the seven liberal arts. It was based on the supposition that if one could grasp Grammar; the mechanics of language, and Logic, the mechanics of thought/analysis, then finally Rhetoric, the ability to discuss your newfound knowledge, then a person could effectively teach themselves given the right tools. In the past, the tools were books, now we have been blessed with the internet which can be a tremendous source for free knowledge or a massive stumbling block depending on the sites traveled to. What 2016 has shown us is that it's getting more and more difficult to discern what is fact and what is fake in terms of web based information. It used to be a person would stand in the grocery isle and laugh at the preposterous stories displayed in the tabloids. Now, people fight and demean each other in comment sections in an effort to argue who's fake information is better.
On an average, information based website, one has the opportunity to utilize trivium in an effort to gain viable, fact based information. Neotrivium will be used to guide students by having them use their grammatical intellect to find, read and digest the subject matter of interest online. They will use logic and reasoning to discern if what they have read is from a credible outlet. Even so far as conducting a Who-is of the website to investigate it's source, then finally utilizing rhetoric in the comment section in order to properly discuss the topic at hand, without name calling or judging.
The Contemporary Education Complex intends to effectively guide students on a three way path to success, giving them the educational compass they need in order to navigate through any and all life paths they choose autodidactically.
